Please take a look at the position descriptions and determine if the jobs are right for you. Many of our positions are seasonal-only and some are residential. Applications are currently being accepted for the following positions:

Cabin Leaders (Male Staff Only) - Pioneers, Trailblazers, Explorers, Voyagers

Cabin Leaders work with groups of 8-10 campers in our traditional camp programs. Serving as a mentor and role model, cabin leaders are the frontline of program delivery. experience with climbing, sports, marine science, sailing/kayaking or teaching swim lessons are all a plus.

Teen Leadership Staff

Teen leadership staff work with trip programs and teen leadership development programs, on and off-site throughout the summer. We are looking for self-motivated staff with extensive experience working with youth of all ages, backpacking and wilderness experience and some form of advanced medical certification (EMT, WFR, WFA, etc.). Teen staff must be 21 years old plus. Certifications as a lifeguard or challenge course facilitator are a plus.

Unit Director - Trailblazers, Explorers, Voyagers, TREK, Adventurers

We will start accepting applications immediately for the position of Unit Director. Interviews have begun. This seasonal position begins on June 12 and ends on August 24.

Aquatics Director

The summer aquatics director is a residential position in charge of swim lessons, recreational swim times, group/unit pool times and staff recreational swim. They'll manage lifeguard schedules and support training and evaluations of guards. The summer camp aquatic director plays a key role, with the summer leadership team, in supporting the overall camp program.

Day Camp Staff - Residential

Join our day camp staff team. This is a residential camp position with responsibilities that support Camp Seymour's residential summer camp program, in addition to working with summer day campers. Housing is provided and day camp staff meals are provided Monday through Friday, while the kids are here. Parent communication, understanding the developmental needs of children and advance program delivery skills are essential to this position. Must be 21+.

OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Outdoor Educators for the 2013 - 2014 School Year

We are now accepting applications for outdoor educators for the 2013 - 2014 school year.  We are looking for individuals who are excited about working with children in an outdoor setting. You must be caring, creative, flexible and willing to work long hours while keeping a positive work attitude. College degree or 3 years experience in related field desired. Classes offered to students include: marine science, reptiles, group initiatives, forest ecology, wildlife ecology, sustainability and the Living Machine, canoeing, orienteering and many more. Duties include teaching classes and implementing fun and exciting evening programs, hosting meals and some weekend responsibilities. First Aid, CPRO required. Life-guarding and Small Craft certifications a plus.  Paid training starts August 20th, 2013.  Click here to apply online
