Wenjie Zhang, Cabin Staff
Hey there! My name is Wenjie from China. I will be working at an overnight camp as a cabin leader. I haven’t worked at Camp Seymour before, but I have years of experience of working with kids. I used to be a tutor for 3 years and my students were mainly from kindergarten to primary school. I hope that experience will help me have a wonderful time at the summer camp. When it comes to my hobbies, I love doing painting and crafts, things that require creativity and hands-on skills. My favorite outdoor activity is hiking. I enjoy hiking with my friends on weekends. It’s one way for me to release stress and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Speaking of snacks, I guess I like something crisp, like Lay’s original potato chips. If you have any recommendations for other flavors or brands of chips, I’d be happy to hear about them too. Haha :) The thing that I feel most excited about is that I will have a chance to make friends with people from different cultures and backgrounds. It will definitely be a meaningful experience that I will never forget! But I am afraid that there might be some problems and situations at the campsite that I have never encountered before, which might make me feel lost. In other words, I’m not that worried either. Because I will have a bunch of friends who will have my back. ;)
Ohh, last but not least, since we will meet at summer soon, please let me know if you have something you want from China, like snacks or other things, because I want to bring you guys gifts that you really like and find practical. Please don’t feel shy to ask.
