Siobhan Keenan, Assistant Camp Director

Hi everyone! My name is Siobhan; I will be your Assistant Camp Director of Units this summer! I will be at camp to support all the Cabin Staff and Unit Leaders and help you ALL have a great summer. I grew up in Washington State and currently live and work full time at camp.

This summer will be my seventh summer at Camp Seymour and my third as an Assistant Camp Director! In the past I’ve also worked and volunteered in teen programming, outdoor education, marine stewardship, and elementary classrooms. I love working outdoors and creating safe spaces for others to explore the natural world and form connections with each other!

I’m usually reading or crafting in my free time, as well as playing Stardew Valley, watching The Bachelor, and hanging out with my cat, Pippin. He’s not an outdoor cat (yet), but when I’m outdoors I like tide pooling, climbing trees, and bird watching!

My favorite snacks are Goldfish or Cheez Its (the spicy ones).

A fun fact about me is that I was obsessed with the Mythbusters when I was kid. I dressed up as them for Halloween and had two Mythbusters birthday parties! I invited them to both parties, of course. They sent back a very kind letter and a signed photo of all of them, which remains my most prized possession to this day!

This summer, I’m excited to get to know all our staff and host some awesome campfires! I’m anxious to get started and run a few awesome weeks of staff training – I want to make sure everyone feels as prepared as possible for day 1 of camp. See you soon!
